Joost Baars (1975) is dichter, essayist en al twintig jaar boekverkoper in Amsterdam. Hij was betrokken bij het Amsterdamse po\u00ebzietheater Perdu, bij het literatuurfestival Read My World, schrijft over po\u00ebzie voor Awater en Po\u00ebziekrant en publiceerde vertalingen van Dorothea Lasky, Morani Kornberg-Weiss en Gerard Manley Hopkins. Af en toe treedt hij op met het wereldvermaarde improvisatieduo Boi Akih.
\nIn 2018 won Joost Baars de VSB-Po\u00ebzieprijs voor zijn debuut Binnenplaats<\/em>
