Naar Majakovski&#8217;s socialistische po\u00ebzie kijkt bijna geen mens meer om. Wel wordt zijn voorrevolutionaire werk nog gelezen: de gedichten van <em>Een wolk in broek<\/em> tot en met <em>Mens, een ding<\/em>, met hun unieke mixtuur van lyrische, epische en dramatische kwaliteiten. Na 1917 wist Majakovski zich nog twee maal van zijn socialistische preoccupaties los te maken in de twee grote po\u00ebma&#8217;s <em>Ik heb lief<\/em> en <em>Daarover<\/em> (1921-1923).
