wat roestige loodsen, armoedige
huizen, een kerkhof, een kroeg,
niet meer dan de herinnering aan
een gebaar van trouw: bed, glas,
en graf staan nog klaar,
tegen beter weten in.
Hier aan land gaan.

Het wordt nacht, maar zij is
als een stolp van melkglas,
al wit van de volgende morgen.
En over de open, windstille zee
gaan verwachtingen. Zij vinden

Een hele goeie
Het uitzicht vanuit mijn woonkamerraam is dichtgemetseld met steigers. Elke ochtend en altijd op onzedelijke tijdstippen staan robuuste mannen luidkeels met elkaar te bekvechten. Als ze elkaar niet verbaal afranselen schallen er Nederlandstalige liedjes uit hun radio’s die als termieten je taalgevoel afkluiven.
